| Chapter 12 Tomorrow was the Opening Ceremonies of the Olympics and the dancers were practicing like crazy these past couple days. Today, they were going to practice for the first time in Rice-Eccles Stadium, where the Opening Ceremonies were going to be held, but that wasn't until the afternoon. In the morning they would be once again practicing at the Olympic Oval, but today they would have s small audience watching them; the US Short Track Team. "Why are they here?" Kylee asked tying her shoes. "Oh, did we forget to mention we invited them," Crystal said with an innocent smile. "You did what?!" Kylee said embarassed as everyone stared at her. She didn't realize her voice would be so loud. "Relax, girl," Lindsey said putting her hair up in a ponytail. "Just pretend they are another one of our fans that we are preforming for." "Look, I know what you guys are trying to do and it's not going to work," Kylee said drinking some water from her water bottle. "And what is it exactly that we are trying to do?" Crystal asked crossing her arms. "You guys are trying to hook me up with Apolo and it's not going to work," Kylee said defensively. "Well, for your information, we already asked Apolo out for you," Lindsey said. "You did what?!" Kylee said angerily. "Chill girl, it's not just going to be you two, it's going to be all eight of us, it'll be like a quadruple date," Karen explained. "Come on, you gotta start dating again, Kylee. You have to let go of Ivan." "We know Ivan hurt you a lot, but he's moved on now so should you and we think Apolo is the perfect guy for you," Crystal explained. "He's everything you wanted in a guy and more. You two make the perfect couple." "But I told you guys I'm not ready," Kylee said getting more frustrated. "But, Kylee, it's been a year," Lindsey said. "It's time for you to move on. Of all people, I should know how difficult it is to move on, especially if it is someone you care about deeply. But if you care about them that much, you want them to be happy and if he's happy with that bimbo then you should accept that and move on." "Oh, here they come," Karen said as teh short track guys came down to where the ladies were getting ready for their practice. "Hey ladies," Shani said as they made their way down the stairs towards them. "Hi," Lindsey said. "How's it going?" "We're fine," Apolo said standing next to Kylee. "And you ladies?" "We're fine, just getting ready for a very early practice," Lindsey said yawning. "Are you all ready for tomorrow night?" "I can't wait," Rusty said putting his arm around Lindsey's waist. "Well, we can't wait either, right Kylee?" Karen asked. Kylee was once again lost in her thoughts, unaware of her surroundings. She just stared off into space for a couple of seconds until she felt someone shaking her shoulder. "Earth to Kylee?" Crystal said shking Kylee's shoulder. "What?" Kylee said coming back to reality. "Are you okay?" Apolo asked concerned. "Yeah, I'm fine," Kylee said playing with her hair. "Why?" "You, like, zoned off for a couple seconds," Lindsey said. "Are you sure you're okay?" "Yeah, I'll be fine," Kylee said with a weak smile. "So you looking forward to tomorrow night?" Crystal asked. "Oh, yeah, sure," Kyle said in a low voice. "Excuse me." Kylee walked backstage and disappeared behind the blue curtain. "I better go see if she's okay," Karen said as she followed Kylee backstage. Karen made her way backstage, when she heard a noise coming from the bathroom. She walked into the bathroom and saw Kylee throwing up in one of the stalls.
