THE STORY THUS FAR...
The Second War of the Ring is over.  Sauron the Deceiver has been vanquished once and for all, and peace has reigned in Middle Earth.  The King of Men, Eltharion, once called Aragorn, had also passed, leaving his kingdom to his son, Eldarion.  Arwen, daughter of Elrond, had vanished into the woods, helpless in her undying grief and love for her fallen King.

The Elves have all but left the shores of Middle Earth for the undying West.  Some remain in the forests and cities, but they are a rare sight indeed in the world of men.  In the Grey Havens the Elves gather, preparing their lovely ships to transport the scores of Elves wanting to escape the hostile lands of Middle Earth, and more arrive and leave daily.  Cirdan himself, one of the eldest and most powerful of all Elves, remains, waiting until the last of his people have left Middle Earth.

Some, however, have decided to remain on these shores to protect and wander the land.  Belegar, the strong Elven warrior, wandered far into the land of Men, rising through the ranks of the Army to become a General in the Gondorian Army.  He fought in both Wars of the Ring to defend Middle Earth and the races of this world.  At his side fought his sister, Cimorene, who came out of the Grey Havens to find her brother.

Peace has reigned since these events, and again the siblings have returned to the Grey Havens.  They awoke one day to find that a ship had just arrived back from the West, carrying one new passenger.  A Wizard, Oromic the Red, whos mission was to seek out the remaining wizards in the world and take them into the West.  He sought out the siblings to ask their aid in a special task.  They also met a young Ranger named Marreant, who had traveled to the Grey Havens in search of work.  Now the three set out to find the lost Staff of Gandalf the Grey, and return it to Oromic.

They journeyed into the Wild, heading for the Mines of Moria, where the heroic Fellowship faced the hoards of goblins, orcs, and their massive demonic companion, the Balrog of Morgoth.  Gandalf lost his Staff in this battle, and the task given to the trio of strangers was to seek out the Staff.

Along the way they are constantly beset by Melendar, the Elven Mage and all-around meanie.  He and Cimorene were ancient friends, but he tried to kidnap her and force her into the West to be with him forever.  However, she escaped him and developed a deep loathing for him.  He now works for an organization called the Black Hand, who are intent on bringing Elves back into power in the world of Middle Earth.  Cimorene stole a magical, cursed bow from him and has since become a great archer.

In their travels, they also met a young Lord of Rohan named Justinian.  He became their companion in their travels through the Mines of Moria.  Once inside the Mines, they met up with Melandar and formed an uneasy alliance to find the Staff.  Cimorene and Melendar had several quasi-romantic moments, but Cimorenes hatred overpowered his love for her.  Still, he defended her and protected her from various attacks and trials.

They found the Staff finally and Melendar took possession of it with the permission of Justinian.  This truly irked the rest of the party, who felt that neither Justinian nor Melendar should be allowed to touch the Staff.  Melendar was to keep the staff to make a magical sword for Justinian, and then return the Staff to Cimorene, Belegar, and Marreant.  As they fled the Mines, Belegar was separated from the troupe and returned to them later as the bearer of one of the Rings of Men, given to the Nine by Sauron the Deceiver.

Cimorene and Belegars family had been given the task of destroying this particular Ring, and the task had been passed from generation to generation of children, and each had fallen in their task, murdered by the Nasgul who hunted the Ring.  Now it passes to Belegar, who must keep it safe from the Black Rider who hunts him and destroy it, either at the forge where it was made, or in the fires of Mount Doom itself.

The party retired to Justinians keep in Rohan, where Melendar forged a sword of magic for Justinian.  Cimorene used the time to try to get through to Melendar, who seemed to break towards the end of their encampment and open up to Cimorene.  Melendar had been working for an evil overlord, someone cloaked in shadow who wants Melendars powers and aid to bring about an event that is unknown.

The night before they were to depart, the city was beset by the Nasgul that hunted Belegar.  They fought in the woods outside the city, and Marreant was almost killed.  Cimorene, Justinian, Belegar, and a host of men rode out to meet the Black Rider, and after a ferocious battle, Belegar was able to defeat the Black Rider using his own Ring.  Belegar, however, seems to have begun to fall into darkness, much as Frodo has done before.

Melendar departed the next morning, after a heartfelt farewell to Cimorene.  He promised that he would think about become good again, and that he would miss her.  The ice that had surrounded her heart melting, Cimorene wept tears of sadness as he walked away.

The party again set out for Gondor to meet up with the fabled Red Wizard.  Cimorene carried the Staff of Gandalf back to her Lord Oromic.  Strangely, after the disappearance of Melendar, her magic has grown even more potent, and her hair has changed.  She now bears a strange tint of violet in her hair, and her eyes are now a royal blue instead of sky blue

Now, as the Staff is safely placed in the vaults of Gondor, Cimorene and her party part ways inside the huge castle of Gondor, the White City.  Belegar heads for the main hall to meet with Eldarion, while Marreant and Justinian move from section to section of the castle, catching up on news.  Cimorene heads straight for the Vaults of Gondor, and emerges dressed in different clothing and approaches the main hall.  She throws open the doors, and Eldarion, Marreant, and Belegar all gasp.

I am Cimorene the Violet, she says softly, brushing her long purple hair out of her eyes, shaking out her violet robes, and bowing deeply to them all.  Let all remember me for who I was before.  I am Cimorene.

Cimorene the Violet the fabled Wizardess who fought alongside Gondorian soldiers and her brother, Belegar, has returned to the surface of reality.
