| Kayla looked in the mirror for the third time in 5 minutes. She was wearing black flood pants and a purple tanktop that had purple diamonds on it. "I hope I look alright,"she thought to herself. Kayla walked out the door and headed toward the guys' house. Lance on the other hand was sitting in his room staring out his window which happened to be facing Kayla's backyard. When he saw her walk past her sliding glass door to let her dog out his heart skipped a beat. "I wonder what Justin ment by her saying she was just destined to be lonely. She seems like a sweet girl and is pretty cute too." When the door-bell rang Lance jumped out of his seat to let her in. When he opened the door he was speachless. She looked really nice. She also had a very obvious look of vunerablity it her eyes. "Um...Hi Kayla how are you." "Oh Lance! Hi, "I-I'm good." "Hey girl wassup. How's your dog. You should have brought him! We coulda had some fun with Curly here." "Shut-up Chris! Man, you are really annoying! Hey Kayla long time no see!" "Hey Justin, Hey Chris" "Hello lovely lady. My rude friends here haven't given me the pleasure of meeting you. I am Joey and at your service anytime." " Uh.. Hi Joey. I'm Kayla. It's nice to meet you." Kayla said while turing beet red. "And I happen to be J.C. So your the girl that Justin practically made hate us. I have nothing against you, your dog, or anything. It's nice to finally meet you." "And it's nice to meet you too J.C. And I am glad you have nothing against me. I hope you don't mind that I kinda screwed your name up earlier, if Justin didn't tell you." "Oh yeah I heard about that. It's nice to know that not every girl on the face of this earth knows who we are. That's why we chose this town to vacation in. But enough about us. You may come in now. We don't bite." "Well that is always good to know!" Lance was pretty surprised that Kayla had already warmed up to Chris and J.C. He was a little jealous too. "God, why does Jace get all the girls. If its not him then it's Justin. I am the one who should be able to make her smile and feel comfortable. WAIT! What am I thinking?!? I met her like 3 hours ago!" Everyone sat around and Kayla told them about herself. "Well, if you must know my full name is Mackayla Lynn Simms. I only get called that by my mom when I'm a bad girl. I'v lived here in Greensville for 3 years now. I lived in 5 other towns since I was born in The Keys of Florida. I graduate high school in a month, but I just turned 17. I know it seems kind of odd to graduate in a month, while today was my last day, but I have more than enough credits and I kinda skipped 4th grade. Thats about it. I'v lived a pretty boring life that surrrounded around my family, music and animals." "Wow growing up in 6 different towns. That had to be difficult," Lance asked. He was pretty surprised that the girl had to switch schools so many times. Also that she was so young and smart. His respect for this girl just kept getting higher and higher. "Yeah it was at times but I always had pets. I love animals and they always kept me company." "Did you say your life was surrounded by animals and music?" J.C. asked. "Yeah why?" "What kinda music? Vocal or Instrumental?" "Mainly vocal, but I played the flute for 5 months, but I quit because my band teacher hated me. I was in my school choir and have always been in it since I was really little." "Can you sing us something. We would love to hear it." J.C. said wondering if Lance would ever sign her onto FreeLance. Kayla didn't know what to say. She had always done Choir for fun, but her teacher always said she had a lovely voice. The only problem was she HATED singing in front of people! |
