JESSICA: as of June 10, 2003!
Well, Hello again!

It has been a while since anyone has received an update on Jessica, I know, but unfortunately, there haven't been many exciting developments until just recently.

As most of you know, Jessica was waiting to be seen by a sarcoma specialist in Michigan to find out what he thinks and what he could do for our sweet little princess. Well, after all kinds of problems tring to get the trip in motion, it finally happened...

Last Sunday night, I learned from Jess that her doctor in Columbus was ready to operate on the part of Frank in her leg as soon as she wanted to have him out. But, she had plans to travel to Michigan last Wednesday, so she had opted to eait and see what the doctor there had to say about the whole thing.

So, Monday, I spent the better part of my day sitting on the floor with Jessica, giggling and singing with her as we spent hours scrapbooking our little hearts out. It was great fun, and it kept us busy while she prepared fror Michigan.

Tuesday, Jess had some CAT scans and other tests done locally.

Wednesday, she and her parents made the 4 hour drive to Michigan. It would be her first visit with the specialist. She was pretty excitied, considering the circumstances.

I received a phone call this past Sunday evening from Jessica. It was the first I heard after the specialist. Jessica left me a message to inform me of the situation. She said that from what the specialist had seen, he wanted to do surgery as soon as possible. Som Jess was traveling back to Michigan the following morning (monday) to go into surgery with the specialist.

Unfortunately, I did not get details and Jess was busy doing many things before her return to the doctor, so I didn't get to talk to her.

So, today is Tuesday, and I heard from Kristina yesterday afternoon that Jessica came out of surgery very well. She lost some blood, but they are pretty sure they will not have to do a transfusion. She is weak and her mother said she is a bit "loopy", but she is on a morphine drip. But, All in all, she is doing very well. Sorry I don't really have details, but some news is better than none.

Jess will remain in the Michigan hospital until Thursday or Friday. Please continue to keep her in your prayers as she recovers from the surgery. I am not sure if they operated on just her leg, or if they tried to remove frank entirely, I haven't got to talk to her.

I will try to keep you posted as I receive more information!

Pray for Jess! Pray for healing. And pray for peace.

In His service,
Michelle
