SPEAK TO THE SKY In a corner with no windows-no apparent way to go No escape hatch, must be some catch Must be something you don't know Look down, look around, ALL YOUR HOPES ARE SINKING DEEP INTO THE GROUND Look up through the night, SOS is gonna make it to the Light when you Speak to the sky and wait for the answer Someone will be there to take your call THOUGH YOU MAY BE AT THE BRINK OF DISASTER SPEAK TO THE SKY AND YOU NEVER WILL FALL --lyrics from a song by Petra (Jonathan Frailey: [email protected])

Neighborhoods Hanging by a thread From the tree of this life I've been spinning round and round and round Inside my flesh cocoon An old beat up Pinto might be what I drive for now But I'll be driving a Cadillac soon Cause you know one day I will fly To my mansion in the sky And I'll have no regrets when I leave this place for good When I say my last farewell please don't forget to tell them That I'm not really dead I'm just changing neighborhoods Living in this place that is only temporary I said that this old world is in the process of slipping away Though I have such a future I've got to be wary That my bright tomorrow doesn't blind me to what God has for me today -lyrics to a song by Big Daddy Weave (Kelly Snell)

The following is an email sent to me from Kristina Hahn, a good friend of mine and Jessica's. To give you a little background: This was sent to her by her grandparents (George and Reba) and Ken and Mary are missionaries that attend her grandparents' church who are home right now before they head out on another mission. Here you go, Michelle. In Jess's first email she asked for prayer that God would use this cancer to bring others closer to himself. This is just a small part of the overwhelming response to that prayer that our Heavenly Father is sending Jess. Pass it on! (Kristina Hahn: [email protected]) Kris: Would you share this with Jessica, just see how far her testimony is going and what an impact it has on so many people and how many people are praying for her. You don't need to read her the first part that tells about Mary's cancer cells she had on the toes. Love you Kris and keep up the good works, Grandma Dear Friends, George and Reba: I received today the following news: "We are pleased to inform you that the pathology report from your biopsies were benign taken from your second surgery." Praise the Lord! Thanks for your prayerful concern. Yesterday, Ken was asked to do the 'call to worship' in the morning service at church. He took Jessica's story and struggle with cancer up to the pulpit and shared it with a congregation of some l50-l75 people. Ken gave a tremendous report using his gift of speaking that caught the people's attention in an overwhelming way. He told how Jessica is worshipping the Lord twenty-four hours a day caught in a trauma of life and death -- either way, she wins! He, also, gave a quick review about our friendship with you dear people and too, mentioned Kris and her contribution of helping Jessica. It all left the people with much to think about. AFter the church service, there were those who came up to him and thanked him for sharing about Jessica. One man, whom Ken had never met, said to him, "tell Jessica that we are praying much for her." At our Bible Study at Jim and Linnae's house last night with a group of people from our church, we had a round of prayer for Jessica. Again, there were people who expressed their thanks for Ken sharing about Jessica. Isn't it wonderful to belong to the Body of Christ where we can share one another's burdens. Do keep us posted about Jessica's continual battle; then, we can pass the 'news' along so we all can continue to pray intelligently for her. All of our love in Christ Jesus, Ken and Mary
