Questioning a
Driver’s Determination
"Driver shouldn't be robots. They should be free to speak out."
A driver shows drive to be a champion. He works with his crew to be the champion he desires to be. He expands to doing a TV show & a radio show just for fun. Just like that his boss questions his dedication. Is he a driver or a public personality?
"Right now the ball's in his court to decide on whether he wants to be a NASCAR driver or whether he wants to be a public personality," Teresa Earnhardt, the CEO of Dale Earnhardt Inc. told the Wall Street Journal.
Last I heard the fans wanted the drivers to have personality. The fans wanted drivers who don't stand politically correct and stick just to racing. Those who don't stand politically correct and have some fun with it rule the fan bases. Tony Stewart nor Kevin Harvick nor Jimmie Johnson are being handed the question. Oh yeah, they are recent champions. Even through Jr. isn't a recent champion it shouldn't give him a reason to stand out. He is still a championship caliber driver looking for the right fit with DEI. Once their program is in gear, a title is their's.
A driver can still be determined yet stand out as a personality. One shouldn't have to make that choice.
My Two Cents,
