| About Me |
| My name is Courtney Michelle. I'm from a small podunk town in Missouri, where the most popular thing to do on Friday night was go to the football game. I was one of the dorky kids in high school. The only extracurricular activities I took part in were Key Club (a service organization) and band (go trumpet players!). Things kind of changed my sophmore year. I applied to the Missouri Academy of Science, Mathematics, and Computing, a high school for gifted teenagers. I did not think I would get in but I figured it would not hurt to apply. I got accepted and so my junior year of high school I found myself living in Maryville, Missouri taking college classes. I didn't enjoy my first year here; In fact, I wanted to quit the whole time I was there. The second year at this school I made a lot more friends and was even named Prom Queen. This was a big deal for me. It was the only time in my life that I had actually won something. |

| I graduated from the Missouri Academy in 2002 and I got my high school diploma and my Associates Degree at the same time. From here I went on to Shreveport, LA to attend Centenary College of Louisiana. Why did I go to Louisiana you ask? Well, I wanted to major in Neuroscience and they had a program for it. Secondly, I only applied to two schools (Centenary and MU) and I did not want to stay in state so it was off to Louisiana for me. I am now nineteen years old and still at Centenary. I will graduate in two more years and from here I will go to a school of some sort (medical, graduate, combination--I'm not quite sure). All I know is that I am not ready to deal with the real world yet so I will continue to go to school until I think I can face this big world we call Earth. |
