Too Late




Shot by a gun, you fell to your feet

Felt for a pulse, but there was barely a beat

I still had hope and stayed by your side
Emotions ran through me, the tears I can’t hide

Holding you in my arms, I watch you as you die

I couldn’t help but gaze into your hopeful eyes

Your eyes still full of love, my heart so full of pain

I knew right then & there tomorrow wouldn’t be the same


I guess I should’ve told you right from the start
But I was a fool, & put my mind before my heart

I was deeply in love, everyone could see

I was meant for you & you were meant for me

It hurt me so much to see you go
For there was still so much I wanted you to know

I wanted to tell you before, though I thought it could wait
But I waited too long, and now it’s too late!
