an attainable jewel
that I never thought I could have
You were the friend I would turn to
the person who made me laugh
When I found out you liked me
I took the chance
hoping that with you
I’d find romance
But then you were gone
& that’s when it hit me
What we once were
we will never be
I tried to hide behind a shield
I didn’t want anyone to see
All the hurt & pain
deep inside of me
Though I never gave up
on the love we shared
Coz even if you’re not with me
I know that you still care
My love for you still remains
& though you may be a mistake
