Band Biography

The Offspring Are:

      Dexter Holland- Vocals and Guitar
      Greg K- Bass
      Noodles- Guitar and Back Vocals
      Ron Welty- Drums

Dexter Holland and Greg K grew up in the same place of Garden Grove and went to the same school of Pacifica High. They have been freinds ever since and wanted to  start their own band but they had a big problem in their hands: NO MUSICAL TALENT. So these musically illiterate surfing punks finally met up and became on the Billboard top 40's list (somewhere between the late 80's and early 90's). They came out with 5 albums their titles being:
their self-named title "The Offspring", their second being "Ignition" which didn't sell to well, their third and most popular album "Smash" must have been butter cause it was on a hot roll, fourth was "Ixnay on the Hombre" which was a pretty good seller, and finally "Americana" which sold  superiorly thanks to their big hit "Pretty Fly for a White Guy" but it wasn't as popular as "Smash". Two years later they came out with their new hit "Conspiracy of One". The exact release date was 11/14/00 (November 14th, 2000). These punks came out 20 years after punk rock was born. They became one of the most successful and well known bands in America.
