The Legacy began with Soror Jacquelun Lynette Washington. Soror Washington was a recent graduate and founding membrr of the Nu Epsilon chapter at Southwest Missouri State University. Soror Washington became a member of the Gamma Gamma Sigma Graduate chapter here in West Palm Beach,Florida soon after her graduation. The Sigma light was so mesmerizing that she, along with then Basileus Tequesta Alston worked to begin a chartering chapter here at Florida Atlantic University. And so herstory begins..... |

In the fall of 1998 four elegant young ladies took the initiative to become a part of the greatest sisterhood ever created. In the Spring of 2000 their dreams became a reality as they were inducted as members of the Southeast Region of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc. These etermined young ladies would work to bring prestige, honor, and growth to Florida Atlantic University. In the Spring of 2000 they would increase thier membership when three extraordinary young ladies were inducted into the Rhoyal Sisterhood. |

The next few years would be focused on training and organization to create a chapter at FAU. On April 6, 2002 at the Southeast Regional Conference in Huntsville, Alabama the Pi Eta Chapter was chartered by the Regional Syntactes Nadine McMillon and Madam Grand Basileus Helen Owens on hand. The ceremony was one of great emotion and accomplishment for the Ladies of Pi Eta. The story continued in the Spring of 2002 with growth, honor, and quality. In reality the story never ends because the light of the illustrious founders of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc. can never be extinguished. Perfection was created on November 12, 1922 |
