Youth Leader Meetings provide a networking opportunity for youth leaders to mutually encourage one another, to share ideas and resources, and to support one another.
The first Presbytery Youth Leader meeting took place on February 24 at Westminster Presbyterian Church.
After opening in prayer, the youth leaders had an excellent opportunity to get to know one another by sharing personal stories. Next we brainstormed some of the challenges of youth ministry. Through and after lunch we discussed some ideas and solutions.  Some of the topics of discussion included: making change, denominationalism, reaching kids who are associated with the church but who don't "plug in", and working with ministry teams. As you can imagine we barely scratched the surface!
The next Youth Leader Meeting is April 21 at
St. Paul's.
