What Is "Interact" ???

What is Interact?

The word INTERACT is made up of two words, INTERnational ACTion.

Interact clubs have been established globally by keen, active young individuals between the age of 14 - 19. The Interact Club is regarded as the younger brother of the Rotary Club and is, similarly, a service oriented club. Its members are committed towards working for the betterment of our society. Interact clubs carry out service in four main avenues. Community service, Club service, International Understanding and Finance. The interact club of S.T.P.S also has two other divisions, Public Relations and Youth services.

In this present day and age, society has fallen into a deep ditch, full of hatred, revenge, selfishness and vanity. People of today have forgotten their duties and obligations towards their fellow men. Through Interact, the youth and the future of this world are able to realize that there are people in need of care and love. Never for a moment forgetting that they too often need help. Through Interact, we are learning, from a young age to take on social responsibility and bring our society from the ruinous ditch and even end up by teaching adults that living in harmony, tolerance and care is not a difficult thing to do.

The work done by interactors is both a process of learning as well as an opportunity for serious fun. Through the many activities organized by the Interact Districts as well as the other Interact clubs around the world, youngsters get a chance to meet fellow students from different backgrounds, cultures and religions and interact with them. They begin to understand other people and listen to what they have to say in a tolerant manner even if they do not fully agree with their ideas. That is what present society is lacking. They begin to organize themselves and discuss issues and problems collectively. They begin to feel compassionate about helping people in need and begin to value other people's ideals, cultures and most importantly, their lives. They begin to respect people for what they are and the good qualities they possess. Not material possessions.

Most people say that the home is the core of society. But if we work together and strictly adhere to the rules & regulations, clubs such as Interact may become the core of society in the future.

While teaching us vital lessons of survival in this confusing, yet challenging world, INTERACT helps us to ' Live Life To The Fullest '
