Stationary Donation

Viva Service

Goal : To collect funds for upcoming community service projects (Christmas Party for orphans etc.)

Description : Viva Service is Chip-a-job with a mod name! We went from house to house doing jobs assigned to us! Gardening, Car washing, sweeping are just some of the things we did!

Dry Ration Donation

Date : 29th November 2001

Goal : To let the minor staff of the school have a Merry Christmas

Description : We collected Rs. 7500 worth dry rations and gave it to the schools S.C.M effort of donations for the minor staff. All donations we gave are from our great members.

Inter Café

Date : 5th of October

Goal : To rid the crowd of their hunger!

Description : This is an annual project held by us! We sold snacks at the annual Inter-house swimming meet of our school and got a bit of mulla too!

Interact T-Shirt

Goal : To have a T-Shirt that interactors can wear for projects such as Viva Service.

Description : We want all Interactors to have a common t-shirt that they could wear to projects.

Description : We created our first website in June, but then decided that 'geocities' was a better webhoster and switched to greener pastures... (in this case, Free Front Page 2000 extension support!!!)

Drought relief donation

Date 1st of September

Venue : Donations given to Hambantota

Avenue : Community Service

Goal : To help the people of Hambantota.

Description : The originally planned donation of Milk Packets to the kids of Mallika Home has been given to the drought stricken people of Hambantota. We heard that the people of Hambantota were suffering because of the drought and that they needed rations in quick time! But hey! We always keep our promises... plans are already being made to collect milk packets for the Mallika Home!

6-a-side cricket match

Date : 1st of September

Goal : To test out the guys who will be running the club next year!

Description : We had a "Juniors vs. Board members" cricket cricket match! Well, the outcome is obvious! We thrashed them! See the photos in the "Photo Gallery" in a few days!

Shramadana (School Cleanup)

Date : 1st of September

Goal : To make our school a cleaner place!

Description : The Shramadana Project was held on the 1st of September 2001 at the school premises! The students cleaned the School Hall, (Thoroughly) The School Library & all the class rooms! (Not an easy job!) See the photos in the 'Photo Gallery'!

Recycling Project

Date : 27th of August

Venue : Paper given to 'National Paper Corporation'

Avenue : Community Service

Goal : To encourage others to recycle, to make a world a cleaner place!

Description : The recycling project was held on the 27th of August 2001. Paper collected from students were given to the 'National Paper cooperation' for recycling! Paper that was to be thrown into dustbins in many-a-household will be clean recycled paper in a few weeks!
