ECLIPSE The earliest eclipse ever recorded
The earlist eclipse ever investigated was in 1361 B.C., and it was a moon eclipse. And even in October 2137 B.C. there was a record written about a sun eclipse. Only for the mediterranean countries, these eclipses, especially moon eclipses, were an interresting object for them to investigate since 3450 B.C., and sun eclipses began in 4200 B.C.. Before 0 (year), the path of the sun eclipse has never crossed over London in 575 years, from March 20th, 1140 until May 3rd, 1715. And the next sun eclipse predicted over London will probably be at June 14th, 2051, and so on. |
