wasn't happy with this Digimon for quite a while, but now he's sort of
grown on me. I guess I was worried that I hadn't quite done
enough to him, but I'm not too concerned any more. His arm does
look as though it can only be bent at that angle and his hand is the
way I used to draw them (because I couldn't).
I wanted him to look as though is body was constantly being eroded away by the wind, but without ever loosing mass. I'm not sure how well that came out and I think I could have done more to illustrate that. I'm very happy with his costume. I'm not so good at drawing armour, but this stuff came out really well, not quite sure how. I always knew I wanted him to have wings, but I also wanted him to have a cape, I could picture that in my head. The answer came to me when I was thinking of the Mercury, who was the messenger of the Gods and had winged feet. I think the blue brings Driftmon's out nicely. I added the border in The GIMP quite recently. It only took me five minutes or so to do thanks to the GIMP's GIMPresonist filters. |
