The idea for this Digimon came to me as I was
drifting into sleep, as many of my ideas do, but this one
stuck, and I knew I had to follow it through.
Almost nothing has changed from the image I saw in
my head. I love the mouth. It took me a little while to sort the shapes out, but the threads came easily, I always knew I wanted them. Like Wizardmons'. He's a bit of an unusual shape for a Digimon (most are much more round at the In-Training level), but it still works well. His ears gave me a bit of trouble, especially with the colour, as they are very flat, so I wasn't sure how to put the shade and light patches on. His eyes are cool, and I really like the symbol under them. It's very simple but works. Originally I had a more complicated symbol, but I took a lot out to make it what you see. It was complicated to figure out where the light and shadow would go. Black is the second hardest difficult colour to give something (coming after white). I wasn't sure about having such a large patch under his eye as well as near the bottom of his body, luckily it does make sense to the eye. I'm very happy with Rigormon, I think he's so cool. He's still my favourite out of Eretmon's Digivolution line. |
