Such is Life
Bulb planted with care
first signs of life breaking forth
need for sunlight leading the journey
through cool, moist nurturing earth
Shoots sprouting upward
Leaves unfurling
Small buds uncurling
Reaching for majestic height.
Vibrant blooms fading in summer heat
heads bowed, once strong stems drooping
Green leaves now brown
Sweet scents now old and stale
