Precinct Omega's Adeptus Arbites Tournament Army List
HQ Inquisitor Lord with Bolt Pistol, Power weapon and Rosarius This army list represents a deployment from a space-borne precinct, led by a mobile Judge. The Inquisitor Lord, with his 3+ save and access to a large retinue makes perfect sense as the charismatic leader of this force. I haven't decided what model to use for this character, but Torquemada seems a likely choice.
Retinue 2x Crusaders Using Necromunda Enforcers with shock mauls and suppression shields, these guys will be the spearhead of any assault by the retinue. 1x Combat Servitor Backing up the Enforcers comes this harder-hitting but more ponderous character: the judges personal servitor and companion. 3x Acolytes with Carapace Armour and Mancatchers Clustered around the Judge, these Arbites Cadets will willingly sacrifice themselves to save their master. In addition, their mancatchers will allow the Judge to bring his judgment to bear on even the toughest opponent. 2x Chirurgeons The Retinue will come up for a lot of focussed power from their enemies. The Chirurgeons will lurk at the back, keeping the elderly Judge in full fighting fettle. Chimera with Multilaser, Heavy Bolter and Smoke grenades As well as providing the Judge and his S-Court a means of reaching the enemy in relative safety, the Chimera acts as a mobile bunker, with strong forward armour and a reasonable weapon-mount combination.
Priest with Eviscerator and Rosarius The Priest will lend vital close combat power to one of the Patrol Teams.
ELITES 3x Death Cult Assassins I've chosen these to represent Adeptus Arbites Detectives - shadowy, elite infiltrators with the best kit and nerves of steel.
TROOPS 10x Inquisitorial Storm Troopers with Shotguns, Grenade Launcher and Flamer, Chimera with Multilaster, Heavy Bolter and Smoke grenades This is my first Patrol Team. With shotguns, flamer, GL and Eviscerator, it should pack a surprising punch in the Assault. With the Priest along to lend steel to the charge and a Chimera to keep them mobile, they will be the follow up to other close combat troops, swamping enemy units with numbers that have been fixed by my infiltrating Elites.
10x Inquisitorial Storm Troopers with Shotguns, Grenade Launcher and Plasmagun and Chimera with Multilaster, Heavy Bolter and Smoke grenades This is Patrol Team Beta. These guys are really going to be a screening force for my other "shooty" units, although the Chimera and plasmagun should claim some decent kills on their own.
10x Space Marine Scouts with Heavy Bolter These guys represent my first Execution Team: infiltrating towards enemy "shooty" units, these guys will either charge forward and tie up enemy shooters in the Assault, or hide in cover, picking away at isolated units with their bolt weapons. They will also be ideally placed to claim objectives.
6x Space Marine Scouts with Sniper Rifles and Heavy Bolter Much as it pains me to give Sniper Rifles to my best melee troops, their ability to pin enemy assault units will be vital in allowing my shooty units to blow elite enemy assault troops to smithereens before they can close.
FAST ATTACK 2x Land Speeder Tornado The combination of the Heavy bolter and Assault cannon should be devastating to massed infantry armies, while the Assault cannons' Rending properties may even give some tank-heavy armies (to which this Precinct will be especially vulnerable) pause for thought.
HEAVY SUPPORT Predator Destructor with Heavy bolter sponsons I'll actually be using a Predator turret on a Chimera body to represent this tank that I have called (predictably) a Chimedor. The twin-linked lascannon will be my principle anti-tank weapon, so keeping it shielded with Patrol Team Beta and two or more Chimeras will be vital against armoured armies. Against massed infantry, the Heavy Bolters will come into their own whilst the lascannon can pick off monstrous creatures, transports and lone independent characters. |
