Contrary to popular belief, milk is NOT a normal part of a cat's diet and many develop lactose intolerance as they get older. In some cats, milk can cause an upset stomach or diarrhea.

The average life span of a cat who lives his/her life outdoors is only 3-5 years.

Cats hide if they are nervous, afraid, or even laying. But, if your cat does not appear for a meal or come out of the hiding place, it may be an indication of illness.

On average, fertile cats have their first litter when they are 10 months old. They enter puberty at 4-12 months old.

Not all cats love the smell of catnip. Studies have shown that it's a genetic trait and some cats don't have the determining gene.
