My LA HOT SPOTS Since I hail from LA to san diego, I have to have a page that includes all my favorite eateries from home. I love anything and everything from sushi to ghetto burritos. I don't claim to be an expert, just an eater..who said foodies have to be bourgeois? |

| Lunch or Dinner - it's up to you! 1) Chung Ki Wa - east of wilton and olympic (3545 Olympic blvd) - serves the best darn nengmyun in the world! They give you so much and the soup is perfect. 2) Porto's bakery - www.portosbakery.com - located on brand blvd in glendale. They open everyday at 7 am. I went there once thinking that it wouldnt be crowded at 9 am on a sunday, but it was packed! I usually get some potato balls (papas rellenas) and a sandwich such as media noche or sandwich cubano for lunch. Everything is cheap. 3) La Barca - 2414 Vermont - near USC. This was the place where the "Burrito Club" started. Evan, Mike, and Mr PJ were the only ones that could finish their El Coloso which is a packed, fat, huge burrito. Trust me. 4) Olympic Burger - what a name huh? 1001 S Vermont. In koreatown, this is probably the only place where you can get a bulgogi burrito. It's definitely unique and delicious. You might wonder what kind of ghetto place you're going to, but once you get past the arcade machines and old school table and stools, you'll fall in love with the burritos that are stuffed to the max with meat, veggies, and yumminess. COFFEE/LATE NIGHT DINING 1)pojangmacha on heliotrope and melrose serves up the best darn ddukbokki that i know. though they aren't in the best of neighborhoods, you cannot pass up on the chance to get lots of grub for less than 5 dollars. Random Places 1) Porto's Bakery - AWESOME CUBAN GRUB>>>in GLENDALE! who woulda thunk it ? haha |
