Role: Project Trainee
Team Size: 3
Project Details: Project was for the Lubricaion Section of Maintennce egineering Department of TISCO.The function of this section is to find how much lubricant is consumed on the manufacturing of one tonne WSS(work saleble steel). For this they have to calculate the consumtpion of grease and oil for each department. This applicaton provides an User Intrface to this department by which they can keep records of consumptions. This application provides analysis in the from of reports and graphs.
Platform:Windows 98, VB 6.0, Oracle 8.0, Data Report, MS-Chart
Highlights:Complete Information system for Lubrication section.Porject is guided by S.N.T.I. Jamshedpur.

Project at C-DAC(formerly NCST), Bagalore

(2) Title: Concurrency Control Simulation Place: Electronics city,Bangalore,Karnataka
From: 22nd September 2003 To: 21st Oct 2003
Role: Team Member (Programmer)
Team Size:4
Project Details: This simultor Implemented and compared different concurrency-control and deadlock- handling techniques. Processes are modeled as a sequence of timed resource requests. The implementation is parameterized in order to compare the performance of different approaches.
Platform:UNIX, C++.
Highlights:Minitors, Pipes, Semaphores, Signal, Message are Implemeted.
(3) Title: Airline Reservation System
Place: Electronics city,Bangalore,Karnataka
From: 02-Dec-03 To: 02-Jan-04

(4)Title: TCP/IP Stack Simulator
Place: Electronics city,Bangalore,Karnataka
From: 05-Jan-04 To: 02-Feb-04
Role: Team Leader (Programmer)
Project Details: A Model Network is considered for the purpose of simulation. This Network consists of multiple LANs with Ethernet technology, routers and DNS Servers. The whole network is to be represented as a graph. Where in the graph, each vertex represents a system(workstation, server, router, etc.,) and edge represents the physical connection line between pair of vertices. Every vertex can individually be selected and configured to test various issues. After setting the configuration, the source and destination systems are to be selected. Given the message or file to be transferred between the selected systems, the simulation shows how TCP/IP stack works on the network for the communication to take place. The simulation gives text mode as well as graphical display of operations performed by TCP/IP Stack layers over the network.
Platform: Windows 2000, Java(Net,Swing).
Highlights: GUI is provided for whole stack Simlation and Process Communication is implemented through Sockets.
(5)Title: Online Discussion forum (Bulletin Board)
Place: Electronics city,Bangalore,Karnataka
From: 03-Feb-04 To: 20-Feb-04
Role: Team Leader (Programmer)
Team Size: 3
Project Details: This service allows users to create, join and view discussions on any or specified topics. The threads are maintained and past discussions are also available. The administrator are able to register users and moderate discussions.
Platform: Windows 2000, HTML,JSP,MS-SQL server,TOMCAT(webserver)
Highlights: All topics and subtopics are listed in Tree view, for this we had implemented java Applet.
