System modeling, simulations, technical report generation, helping the brass board teams in Motorola, France, NewJersy and providing DSP and RF solutions for future design of the RF IC are the primary tasks. Manager: Dr.Mahib Rahman.
Motorola, Research Intern, Wireless Integrated Technology Center, (WITC), Florida, May-Aug 2002.: Working on Cellular RF/IF transceiver system (Mixed Signal Mode) modeling and analysis. Work involved modeling Wireless transmitter power control loops in Cadence SPW, ADS, and Matlab. Involves Sigma Delta Modulators, Comb Decimation Filters, Saturation Detect, Ramp generator Models.(Analog and Digital Paths) for GSM,EDGE-IQ,WCDMA-IQ modes. Mentor: Dr.Mahib Rahman.
Motorola, Research Intern, Wireless Integrated Technology Center, (WITC), Florida.May-Aug,2001. - Work involved creating models for Mixed Mode Wireless IC and evaluating the performances of TX/RX Medium Band Signal path with II Order Sigma Delta Converters, Analyzing the DC offset Correction loop. (May-Aug, 2001). Summer Intern Evaluation Score: 91/100. Test Benches were written in Matlab to analyze the Medium Band Signal Path for an RF IC.Mentor: Dr.Mahib Rahman.
Graduate Research student, Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Central Florida, Orlando, FL. - Research Student. Design of Speech CODECC for efficient Speech Encoding, transmission, and Speech/Speaker Recognition. Project Sponsored by Naval Research Labs, and Lucent Technologies. The Primary aim was to design a speech encoding technique that would enhance speech recognition/speaker identification performance by using optimal design of Vector Quantized codebooks. The compression obtained was 16 bits/sample to 1.5 bits/sample maintaining the signal quality. Professor: Dr. Wasfy Mikhael.
Student Researcher, National Institute of Ocean Technology, Indian Institute of Technology, (IIT), India. (June 1999-May 2000). Worked on Wavelet based Signal Processing for High Voltage Applications. The primary objective of the research activity was to employ the Time/Frequency Localization property of the wavelets for transient signal analysis. Idea presented at the ICSPAT Symposium, Dallas Texas,2000. Publications. Professor: Dr. JayaShankar
