My names Pranay Rao. People know me by this and by my pet names. At any given time I have been known by different pet names. Guddu to my family and colony friends, Rada to my school friends and many other colorful names. I was born on 23rd March 1981 at 0:20 hrs (thats 12:20 midnight of 22nd march). That makes me 23 years old.

My family consists of my dad, mum and a very annoying elder sister. I have quite a few cousins, uncles and aunts and two grannies. My dad's a manager at Mahindra. He's quite famous being a successful footballer, team manager and coach of Mahindra United. Mummy's a teacher at Smt. J.B. Khot High school. My sisters a consultant at Planman consulting, though her hobby is bugging me.

I schooled at St Francis D'Assisi high school, which I believe was the best damn experience of my life. Being a just above average student I was more interested in extra-curricular activities like soccer, elocution, quiz, etc,etc.. But the best part of my school life was being a part of the H division in the secondary section. We were a group of perfect angels who could make life hell for any teacher. But its not like we were bad students. In fact most of us have made it really good in the careers we chose later. Its just that being in the last division people expected us to be bad and we didn't want to disappoint anybody. What really made us stand apart was the camaraderie, the unity among us. Many a teacher tried to break us up but nobody could succeed. In fact its folklore that most teachers shivered when they had to enter our class. But it is not that we disrespected teachers. Every good teacher could count on an uninterrupted session with us. A lot of other classes tried to ape us, but everybody knows that no one can better the original. Even today all of us keep meeting every few years. There's always a lot to talk about and its generally good fun.

If any teacher comes too mind as being special, then that would be Mrs. Jennifer Miranda our X std teacher. She would brook no nonsense.  English was 1 of my so called strong subjects, therefore I always respected the English teachers a lot.

Soccer was also a passion. I tried to be part of the soccer team and thanks to my school got a chance to represent Mumbai in the state level soccer tournament. I could probably tell you I was the best damn soccer player in the world, but frankly speaking, I wasn't all that good. But I really enjoyed representing my school. It was a good experience to be part of a team that won almost every tournament we took part in.

After school i decided to do a diploma in engg. After my first year doing Civil engg. I changed my college and field and joined Muchalla polytechnic to complete my Diploma in Computer Engg. Here I made a whole lot of new friends and as a rule enjoyed life. I had come to this college from a better college and expected the students to be not as good, but I was pleasantly surprised, these students had tons of practical knowledge and were very good at programming and logic as a whole. Even if their marks never reflected that, id say I attained more knowledge from my peers in Diploma, then from any textbook or course. It goes to show that however much we may value good grades, knowledge and grades.

I then completed my Bachelors in computer engg. at Vidyavardhini's college of engineering and technology. It was a good experience and I made quite a few friends, some of whom I'm still in contact with. B.E. reinforced my computer skills. Here I met a lot of people with very high aspirations and intellect. Many of whom shared soccer as a common passion. All in all a wonderful time.

I now aspire to do an MBA from a reputed college and am working towards i
