What is the Christian Counter-Revolution?

The civilizations of the ancient Greeks and Romans were, like all other civilisations, marked by paganisms, barbarism, immoralities and hypocrisies on a large and systemic scale. Græco-Roman Civilization of the Roman Empire was in a ferment in the time of Christ, with many being alienated and turning to the Jewish or Mosaic Covenant - the Proselytes. Greek Civilisation itself had reached a point where it was forbidden to narrate the impious and immoral legends of the Greek "gods" in polite company.

This cultural and social revolution paved the way for the rapid accession of the Græco-Roman peoples - Greeks, Aramites, Egyptians, Romans, etc. - to Christianity, which became a mass, popular reform movement.

However, in the late Middle Ages, Christian Decadence opened the way for a revival of Græco-Roman paganism, barbarism and immorality in art, public life, etc. This was the "Renaissance."

The "Renaissance" opened the floodgates against Christianity and led to the Protestant "Reformation", the French Revolution, etc.

The Composite, Cumulative Product of these was the establishment of "Westernism" - a Civilisation based on a Rejection of Christianity and a return to the immoral and unchaste norms of the Greeks and Romans that those peoples had themselves, in their own time, rejected.

Westernism is premised on an armed unreasoning vilification and ejection of Christianity from the public sphere as the first step towards its total extermination.

Westernism is fundamentally premised on the rejection of morality and virtue. It is therefore fundamentally premised on immorality.

The Fundamental principle of Westernism is the celebrated, so-called "Protestant Work Ethic".

That "Ethic" is based upon no more fundamental a principle than a total rejection and avoidance of Christian Ethics. As a Moral System, it is based upon a relentless worship of wealth and prosperity, regardless of the means of achieving those ends, a rejection of humanity and of the Integrity of Society, a refusal to countenance the Christian Attitude of Forgiveness and Redemption of Sinners, Lapsees, those who have fallen from the standards imposed by the Ruling Elites.

This "Ethic" is not a holistic, humane ethic, but the "ethic", such as it is, of Ravenous and All-Consuming Parasites — those who set about to Cannibalize Society for their own benefit — their neighbour be damned.

This "Protestant Work Ethic" is also just as contemptuous of Nature and our natural environment as it is of Society and of man's Social Environment.

It is this "Ethic" which has been further developed and refined as "Capitalism" - the Worship of Capital, of Mammon!

In reaction to this, men swung to the opposite error of Marxism.

Marxism is one version of a series of ideologies that advocate Dirigism - the Deification of the State as the Supreme Arbiter of all Aspects of Human Life.

I too was once an admirer of Marxism and of the ideologies of "Socialism" — as being the best means of achieving a just and equal distribution of resources. However, when I realized the fundamental truth that Evil and Malice does not repose in any one particular group or class of people, the elimination of which will bring about justice and equality, I abandoned those ideas.

I soon realized that when a small group of core, determined activists seize power in the name of the downtrodden and eliminate the previous ruling class, they tend to arrogate to themselves far greater and even more unaccountable powers of tyranny over the masses.

In the name of the Prolectariat, a new Tyranny arises which is more vicious and inhumane, more contemptuous of the ordinary man and of the rights and dignity of men, than the previous order.

My Disillusionment with Marxism timed with my rediscovery of Christ and Christianity that Marxist Society had taught me to contemn. I discovered a Christianity that bore no relations to the hateful caricature dinned into the public mind day in and day out.

That began my rendezvous with the Counter-Revolution.

[Key to my return to Christianity and to my rejection of Leftist ideologies was the three volume work of Frs. Rumble & Carty, The Radio Replies which were originally delivered as answers to phoned-in objections to Christianity during the 1920s, 1930s and 1940s. I cannot recommend this work too strongly.]

I have noticed that Westerners have rejected Christ nearly en massé. Yet, the reason for their rejection of Christ is not because they have found Christianity false, although there were and continue to be manufactured various fabrications — such as the Myth of "Evolution" — in order to convince men that this is indeed so.

Yet, in fact, as I have noticed, this rejection is actually because of the fatigue of certain sections of European Society with the High Standards of Christianity coupled with the spiritual contamination brought about by the Renaissance.

As against all of these ideas, Christianity remains true and as the Certain Revelation from God, the formula by which alone man can attain to eternal happiness.

The purpose of this article is to share this truth, to attempt to bring back the Once-Christian peoples back to Christianity.
