8 "... Freely you received, freely give”.

            - Matthew 10:8 :: New American Standard Bible (NASB)

1 “But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days.

2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy,

3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good,

4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God

5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them.

6 They are the kind who worm their way into homes and gain control over weak-willed women, who are loaded down with sins and are swayed by all kinds of evil desires,

7 always learning but never able to acknowledge the truth.

8 Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these men oppose the truth--men of depraved minds, who, as far as the faith is concerned, are rejected.

9 But they will not get very far because, as in the case of those men, their folly will be clear to everyone.”

            - 2 Timothy 3:1-9  :: New International Version (NIV)

The right to be left alone – the most comprehensive of rights, and the right most valued by a free people

            - Justice Louis Brandeis, Olmstead v. U.S., 1928.

Therefore, I say:

Know your enemy and know yourself;

in a hundred battles, you will never be defeated.

When you are ignorant of the enemy but know yourself,

your chances of winning or losing are equal.

If ignorant both of your enemy and of yourself,

you are sure to be defeated in every battle.

-- Sun Tzu, The Art of War, c. 500bc

Threats

Scenario: Kidnapping and Immobilization

Immobilize

v.

  • to hold fast or prevent from moving; "The child was pinned under the fallen tree" [syn: trap, pin]
  • make defenseless

You may be a man or woman. But once mapped out thoroughly by the predators that hunt for your body, their objective will then be to kidnap and immobilize you. If you are not known in your locality, it helps their objective. Kidnap you, administer drugs by injection, through drinks or food and use your body for sexual satisfaction. Your body, being shared by the predators one by one. If anybody in public gets suspicious and question about your strange “drugged” state, then they give the ready made answer, “He/She is undergoing treatment”. The predators need not be men alone and the victim a woman. The predators can also be women with men accomplices and the victim a man. For there are modern women who are worse sex-maniacs than men though many such women hail from respectable families. These women do anything without any restriction. For they were never beaten, groomed or tamed properly in their young age by their own parents. Shame, decency, character, honor, status etc are all things of the past. Modern parents are failures in grooming children; working day and night to make money – rising living costs, tuition fees for children, food, rent etc. (Limitation – limited wants, less children or even no children etc is a worthy option)

Under such a threat, a preventive measure is to make you known in public as much as possible. The public will act as an indirect security cover, by their constant checking on your matters through gossip. Being a writer publishing on the internet help to generate a wide coverage. For the above scenario, the kidnapped victim can also be taken to far away places, places unknown to him or her, for the hush-hush erotic indulgences of the predators.

Be more religious, for when you fight hidden enemies, only the Lord can protect you and your body.

Scenario: Money

We speak of personal laws. But those who live a life of misconduct and bribery, it is a matter of scorn, “What laws? Is there a law? What privacy? What right? What are these personal human rights?” So goes their reasoning! Do you have money? Then give. Don’t ask why? Just give your money!! Money. Only money. If you don’t give, they will take. They monitor you as well as your residence inside out. Where do you keep money inside your residence? Where is your strong room or cupboard? They watch your money counting. How much do you count? And then a thought passes. All these time, we were here to try to have a relation. By watching and watching him inside out, we are a sort of “related”. So his money, why not we also have? After all, we are trying for a relation! We spend a lot of money for this monitoring. So there is nothing wrong in taking that money also. Isn’t? Nowadays, things are not cheap. Prices are going up and up. Rarely comes down. So money is money, any time. Men and women of mere flesh. No moral. No restriction. Nothing.

Otherwise what reasoning can you give to this type of blatant violation of any privacy law you take for consideration? A clandestine monitoring, over a long time.

Serious National Concern

The following abstracts are OF SERIOUS CONCERN to any patriot of this nation. The high tech spy devices used for stalking (illegal misuse of technology) are more or less similar to those used for the various intelligence agencies (illegal use of technology but legal for national interests of the concerned foreign power) around the world like CIA – for gathering continuous intelligence, as tracking devices, as homing devices for missiles etc.

Read and ponder…

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Most controversial have been reports that the US supplied UNSCOM with an eavesdropping device to tap Iraqi officers' communications. Sources say the US demanded overall control of the machine and made sure all data received was shown only to experts from a narrow club of states. Those with full access reportedly came from just four countries--the US, Australia, New Zealand and Britain. Explicitly barred were countries opposed to military action, including Russia and France.

The investigation again exposes the secretive activities of the UN's supposedly neutral body. It substantiates the Iraqi regime's charge that UNSCOM functioned as a covert intelligence gathering operation on behalf of US and British imperialism. Over its eight years of operation, UNSCOM built up an extensive apparatus involving some 100 personnel. In the course of its supposed search for "weapons of mass destruction", it had access to hundreds of sites--including many factories and laboratories unrelated to military purposes. It even demanded access to the headquarters of the ruling Baath party and Saddam Hussein's presidential palaces. These searches enabled the gathering of sensitive political and military information on Iraq, which was then used by the US and Britain to select targets for bombing raids. Earlier this month sections of the American press revealed details of the how UNSCOM inspections provided a regular stream of information to the Pentagon and CIA.

UNSCOM's demands for Iraq to prove the unprovable--i.e., that it does not possess anywhere in the country the capacity to produce biological and chemical weapons--provided the pretext for imperialist aggression.

At the end of last year Denis Halliday, the outgoing United Nations co-ordinator of the UN "oil for food" programme, reported that 4,000 to 5,000 Iraqi children were dying every month due to the impact of sanctions. But the embargo was maintained while UNSCOM extended its spying activities on behalf of their paymasters.

(Reference: Julie Hyland. (Tuesday, January 26, 1999) MI6 involved in spying against Iraq through UNSCOM. USA: World Socialist Web Site.)

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

However, the Australian Defence Department has confirmed that over the past 12 months, up to 30 military personnel were sent to work for UNSCOM in Iraq, and that three Defence Force officers were permanently stationed there.

Among them were several intelligence officers expert in electronic interception, originating from the Defence Signals Directorate (DSD) or the Seventh Signals Regiment. DSD specialises in high technology monitoring of bugging devices and radio transmissions. It operates as part of a world network with the American Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and National Security Agency (NSA) and Britain's MI6, feeding them data from Australasia, Southeast Asia and the South Pacific.

Ritter said the Australians sent to Iraq were "experts in their field". He reported that Australian intelligence agents had come to him in Baghdad last August and expressed concern about what they were doing. "They knew the game, and they know what was happening," he told the newspaper. "They just took a look at what was transpiring, how much data was being collected, how it was being collected. They just put two and two together and realised there was no UN direction on this."

Ritter said all data collected was sent down a phone link to the US, with no questions asked. "My boys would push certain buttons and things would happen and certain data would be sent back."

Ritter's comments follow revelations in London on Monday that officers of Britain's MI6 worked as part of UNSCOM from 1991. Earlier this month it was reported that American and other UN inspectors secretly passed intelligence to Washington, where it was used to identify military, industrial and political targets for the US and British missile attacks on Iraq, including the whereabouts of Saddam Hussein and other Iraqi leaders.

Under Butler's orders, UNSCOM installed US electronic eavesdropping equipment that enabled UN monitors to tap secret communications between the Special Republican Guard and the Special Security Organisation, the elite units responsible for Saddam's personal security. These units were bombed in the air raids on December 16-19. Inspectors also demanded access to hundreds of sites, including Saddam Hussein's palaces and the headquarters of the ruling Ba'ath Party.

The data from UNSCOM's installations was controlled by the US and shown only to agents from selected countries. Those countries were Britain, Australia, New Zealand and Israel. Information was withheld from UN powers--such as France and Russia--that opposed further bombing.

The involvement of Australian electronic surveillance operatives confirms that under the cover of conducting inspections for alleged "weapons of mass destruction," UNSCOM established an extensive web of bugging devices and listening stations--for the express purpose of preparing military attacks designed to kill Iraqi leaders and cripple the government.

Butler's Washington-inspired demands for entry to ever more sites had the predictable response of provoking Iraqi objections. Baghdad accurately depicted UNSCOM as a US intelligence gathering exercise. Its objections then became the pretext for renewed bombing and US blocking of French and Russian moves for the lifting of sanctions on Iraq, where they have huge oil and other investments.

(Reference: Head, Mike. (Thursday, January 28, 1999) Australian agents spied for US in Iraq - More revelations about UNSCOM's role. USA: World Socialist Web Site.)

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

In 1995 American intelligence officials saw an opportunity to set up the UNSCOM "remote monitoring system" to intercept Iraqi microwave transmissions. UNSCOM began transmitting images directly to its offices in Baghdad using radio transmissions from video cameras at monitoring sites, instead of storing data on magnetic tape at the sites as before. The US intelligence agents who set up and maintained the new equipment installed devices capable of intercepting Iraqi microwave transmissions as well.

Press reports earlier this year, confirmed by the Clinton administration, revealed that the United States and UNSCOM officials colluded in spying on Iraq using commercial scanners to intercept low-powered VHF radio transmissions. The information was relayed to the US National Security Agency at Fort Meade, Maryland and was used to monitor the movement of Hussein and other top Iraqi leaders.

The Americans kept the second spy operation secret from UNSCOM because, as one US official quoted by the Post declared, "we were very concerned about protecting our independence of access [to Iraqi communications].... We did not want to rely on a multinational body that might or might not continue to operate as it was operating."

Julie K. Petersen, Saba Zamir (Editor) (September 21, 2000) Understanding Surveillance Technologies: Spy Devices, Their Origins & Applications. (1st edition) USA: CRC Press.

Understanding Surveillance Technologies wasn't written for hands-on hobbyists or electronics buffs. In a sense it is a "surveillance studies" text that describes the technologies and the ethical considerations concerning their use. This information is useful to newscasters, journalists, politicians making executive decisions about allocating public funds for surveillance technologies, corporations, legal assistants, post-secondary instructors, and students and beginning professionals in law enforcement, forensics, and military surveillance. If you need to know what surveillance encompasses, how it came about, how it's being used, and how and why we need to take a good hard look at how it's implemented, this book rounds out the picture more thoroughly than any other text on the subject at the present time. “Thou belongest to That Which Is Undying, and not merely to time alone,” murmured the Sphinx, breaking its muteness at last. “Thou art eternal, and not merely of the vanishing flesh. The soul in man cannot be killed, cannot die. It waits, shroud-wrapped, in thy heart, as I waited, sand-wrapped, in thy world. Know thyself, O mortal! For there is One within thee, as in all men, that comes and stands at the bar and bears witness that there IS a God!
