A Place of Peace

My heart feels warm as we walk hand in hand
Leaving a trail of footprints in the cool
white sand.

The moonlight ripples softly over the
midnight sea,
And we stop to gaze at its miraculous
beauty.

The minature waves slap gently at our
feet.
We see a lonely ship where the sky
and ocean meet.

Out in the distance a lighthouse stands
alone,
Sending out a saving light to call its
children home.

The wind whisps lightly through our
hair,
Everything is so peaceful and quiet in
the night air.

We turn to gaze into each other's eyes
And then we notice how the precious
time flies.

Now I must return to the hustle of the
city,
Where there's noise and commotion, so
unlike the sea.

But soon I'll come back to a place so
carefree.
Back to the gracefulness of the
calling sea.
