What
is Hope?
The second Hail Mary is
said for the gift of HOPE from Jesus Christ.
Mary’s is a ministry of prayer, and
therefore a ministry of love. Every time we pray the Hail Mary,
the prayer which is the backbone of the Rosary, we say to her,
“pray for us, pray for us now, and pray for us at the hour of
our death.” Just as we turn confidently to each other, and rely
on the support of each other’s prayers, so we turn confidently
to her, knowing that she will also support us with her prayer and
with her presence on our journey.

Hail Mary, full of grace,
the
Lord is with thee;
Blessed are thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy
womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.
