The First Sorrowful Mystery: The Agony in the Garden - Sorrow for Sin
The Hail Mary - 7
~ In Hawaiian

"Abba, Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from Me; yet, not My will but Yours be done." ~Mark 14:32

Jesus felt the pangs of suffering and used the word "cup" to refer to this particular portion of His life. He prayed to be rescued, but, for our sake, accepted the strength to endure. Though He prayed alone, each one of us was in His heart.

Hail Mary, full of grace,
the Lord is with thee;

Blessed are thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb,
Jesus
in His agony.

Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.
