Hail Mary, full of grace,
the Lord is with thee;

Blessed are thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb,
Jesus who nourishes us with HIs Body and Blood.

Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

At the Last Supper, Jesus instituted the sacrament of Holy Orders to perpetuate this sacrifice. When He told the apostles to do as He had done, He made them priests who could offer this sacrifice. They could pass this power on to their successors.
