According to the Law, the
firstborn male child of every family should be consecrated to the Lord. When Jesus was forty days old, Mary and Joseph brought
Him to the temple.

Hail Mary, full of grace,
the Lord is with thee;
Blessed are thou among
women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb,
Jesus sacrificed.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.
