The First Joyful Mystery: The Annunciation and the virtue, Humility

The Hail Mary -  9

A woman of faith, silence, and attentive listening, Mary believed-and-accepted before she understood.  She said: "Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to Your word."

Then the angel departed from her.

Hail Mary, full of grace,
the Lord is with thee;

Blessed are thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb,
Jesus
incarnate.

Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

"Dear children! Today also I call each one of you to decide to surrender again everything completely to me. Only that way will I be able to present each of you to God. Dear children, you know that I love you immeasurably and that I desire each of you for myself, but God has given to all a freedom which I lovingly respect and humbly submit to. I desire, dear children, that you help so that everything God has planned in this parish shall be realized. If you do not pray, you shall not be able to recognize my love and the plans which God has for this parish and for each individual. Pray that Satan does not entice you with his pride and deceptive strength. I am with you and I want you to believe me, that I love you. Thank you for having responded to my call." ~MoM, November 25, 1987, Medjugorje

"Since she was bearing a child that was not his, Mary had to face the anguishing prospect of divorce and the shame it could bring down upon her in a small town that frowned on an unfaithful wife.

Thank God for Joseph's dream!  In it an angel told him: "Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because she has conceived by the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a Son and you must name him Jesus."

When Joseph woke, he took Mary as his wife to his home. Together, they did what God would have them do."
