Though from the beginning of
Mary's life God had prepared her for this unique grace, nothing could have
readied her for the news. It was as strange and unexpected for her as this
"mystery" would have been for any of us.

Hail Mary, full of grace,
the Lord is with thee;
Blessed are thou among
women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb,
Jesus incarnate.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
