The Angel answered that she
would conceive by the power of the Holy
Spirit, and her Son would be
called the Son of God, thereby announcing the most important news ever
brought to earth.
She was also told: "Know
this too: your kinswoman Elizabeth has, in her old age, herself conceived
a son, and she whom people called barren is now in her sixth month, for
nothing is impossible to God.'

Hail Mary, full of grace,
the Lord is with thee;
Blessed are thou among
women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb,
Jesus incarnate.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
