Joseph of
Arimathea and Nicodemus were secret disciples and friends of Jesus
who took His body down from the cross and wrapped it in fine linen.
Nicodemus brought precious spices which they wrapped up with the
body. Then they placed the body into Joseph's own new tomb, which was a
cave, dug out of the rock, in a garden near the place where the cross
stood.

Hail Mary, full of grace,
the Lord is with thee;
Blessed are thou among
women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb,
Jesus risen from the dead.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
