dlonzo wrote to me on wednesday, 05 may 2004:

I'm curious as to how many paintings you've left around Seattle. I am an artist in various forms: actor, writer, painter, photographer, poet, etc. I waited until I got home today to actually take the painting out of the plastic bag and read its contents. I was quite impressed with my finding of "Sunlight Shone In."

I wonder how many people had seen the piece before I arrived. Why didn't anyone else take the piece? There were others walking around at the time I was there. In any case, I was meant to find this unique piece and be exposed to something new.

Now I would like to tell you where your piece has found a home. I am in New Orleans.
I will be framing the piece and hanging it on my wall. I will begin doing the same thing, but I will probably do it with sketches and postcards. I'll keep you posted if you'd like to know what's going on. Have you ever been to New Orleans? How long have you been painting? Please respond, I'd like to hear about you and your art.

then i replied...:

Dlonzo,
I have left six artroverts [at this time] throughout Seattle, southeastern Alaska, and on Whidbey Island in the San Juan Islands in Washington; however, I have only been informed of one other artrover that was found (
Nature is Darkened By Frowns)

When I left
Sunlight Shone In, there was another man in the water tower, and two more people came up but apparently none of them took it. I guess it was there for a week before you picked it up.

I've been painting nearly my entire life, but I only started artrovertism in April of 2003. I was actually going to start sending paintings and sketches out on postcards, too, and send them to random people by flipping open the phone book, but I haven't gotten to that point yet.

Once you frame it and hang it on your wall, I'd love for you to take a picture of it and mail/email it to me so I can post it on the site.

It's really exciting that my art reached New Orleans. I'd love to hear of more of your artrovertism exploits. Thanks for appreciating my work and for continuing artrovertism.

Sincerely,
PP.
