prologue thinking back
learnt alot from this whole atec month. damn, time really waits for no man, and time really ticks ever so surely, gradually, coldly, menacingly, always ready to pounce on unsuspecting prey or pushing helpless victims to dead ends. atec made me realise my physical capabilities of cheonging objectives while successfully trying to maintain comms with battalion hq. doing extra. staying awake through the physically demanding 4 days 3 nights. the last mission was a thriller, charlie company captured the objective clinically, hours ahead of the rest, and the men did it with such passion, commitment and initiative, something i had never seen before. hate to sound cliche, but everyone fought as one. and to cheeyong, zhizhong, keith, weiming, we did it! probably half a year ago we were contemplating downgrade (haha dream on) before buckspeed. and here we are now, living the legendary "after atec" days, all the paranoid nightmares of cocking up the whole battalion over. no more! pui!

this taiwan trip had been siong, weather had been so uncompromisingly tormenting that at times i really did felt on the verge of... exploding. transition to autumn my ass. the month was an eye opener though. gorgeous views, friendly villagers, typhoons, landslides, walking amongst the clouds... and certainly the r & r. page 1 home
