This month's show is a tribute to the Saturday morning cartoons of my youth... Specifically, Johnny Quest and Gigantor. Johnny Quest was an action adventure show featuring a kid whose dad was a secret government scientist, and Gigantor, a proto-Anime/Manga toon about a kid who had a pet, giant robot who helped him fight evil. Suitably spastic music accompanies the various tunes from these shows. Johnny Quest in particular, had some totally jammin' big band tunes as incidental music!

RFPL is a labor of love created to enable me to broadcast music and other things that wouldn't pass muster with the FCC, (I couldn't afford decent broad-casting equipment anyway, so this really is for the best!) Enjoy, and feel free to download the shows! RFPL is basically a "mock" pirate radio* broadcast produced on the lowest of budgets, (that'd be NO budget), with whatever is available, for the amusement of the producer, and whoever else happens to drop by. These "Shows" will each (usually) have a theme, run approximately twenty minutes or less, and are available as new and improved podcasts (mp3's).

*"Pirate Radio" is an act of civil disobedience founded on the conviction that the airwaves belong to the people, and as such, should be freely available to the people for their use without government interference. "Radio pirates" broadcast pre-recorded "shows" illegally from various remote locations, or from international waters thus making it difficult for law enforcement to find them. I am a law abiding citizen who supports these people and there efforts strictly philosophically.
