Here we have compiled a list of organizations that have directed their efforts toward assisting non-profit groups in furthering their cause through effective communication with the public through the media.

Benton Foundation

Provides information on funding and designing effective public interest communications campaigns, especially through the media in a digital age. Operates multiple programs and Web sites around specific communications issues: Capacity Building, Communications Policy & Practice, Connect for Kids, Digital Divide Network, OneWorld: US, Sound Partners for Community Health, and other programs. www.benton.org

Communications Consortium Media Center (CCMC)

Founded by experienced nonprofit communications and media experts to help nonprofit organizations use media and new telecommunications technologies for public education and policy change. Operates the Early Care and Education Collaborative, which implements strategic public education strategies in six states aimed at creating public will to expand the supply and quality of early care and education resources and share lessons with the broader child care community. www.ccmc.org
