Matt Wells and Aaron Dallas came up to him, slapping him five. "Coming dude?" Matt asked, gesturing to the line. "Uh, I'll be there in a second" Josh said, quickly. He saw Elizabeth slowly walking with Will down the hall towards him. Elizabeth smiled at Josh when they approached. "Hey Simmons, how's it going?" Josh asked, slapping five with his best friend. Will grinned. They all walked into the cafeteria, heading for the lunch line. Elizabeth leant back on Josh a little in the line. Josh smiled at that. The wave of jealousy he felt when he spotted them coming down the hall together had vanished. After they brought their lunch, Josh led Elizabeth over to a table in the corner. Will looked back at them, confused. "Rad, why aren't you sitting at the usual table, Liz can sit with us" Will exclaimed. Elizabeth picked up her tray and went to sit beside Will. Josh reluctantly sat opposite them, the jealousy returning. The rest of the jocks and cheerleaders came to join them. Melissa sat at the other end of the table, chatting with her friends like she didn't notice Will was sitting there. "Hi Liz" Tia exclaimed, smiling at her. Tia sat down next to Josh. "Hey guys, what's goss?" "Liz and I were just debating Quigley's assignment". Will told her. "He wants us to get someone outside of class to write an essay. The person who know you best". Elizabeth focused on her lunch, already knowing who she was going to ask. Josh grinned at Will. "So, are you getting this guy to do yours?" Tia asked, patting Josh playfully on the back. Will nodded, he looked back at Josh. "Will you write it for me?" Will asked. "Sure, I'll write it" Josh answered, brightly. Will handed him the description of requirements. Josh put it in his knapsack, patting it softly. |
