Just Joshing- Chapter 5
Chapter 5: The Person Who Knows Me Best

Elizabeth finished her lunch while they were talking and stood up. Josh and Will looked up at her in surprise.
"Where are you off to?" Josh asked, rising from his seat.
"Oh, I have some stuff to do at the Oracle" Elizabeth said, quickly. "I'll see you tonight". Elizabeth brushed a kiss on his cheek. And one briefly on Will's before leaving. Elizabeth walked outside, seeing the person she wanted to speak to about her essay.
Todd Wilkins chatted with Aaron Dallas and Jake Collins. He locked gaze with Elizabeth. She approached them.
"Todd, could I speak to you for a second?" Elizabeth requested. Todd nodded.
"Catch you guys later" Todd said, clapping them on the shoulder. Elizabeth and Todd walked over and sat on the steps.
"So, what's up Liz?" Todd asked, smiling at her.
"I was assigned something in writing class that only you can write for me" Elizabeth replied. "Here". She handed the description of the assignment over to Todd. Todd skimmed it and looked up.
"So, you want me to write this for you because I'm the person who knows you the best?" Todd inquired, slowly.
"Yes, would you please write it for me?" Elizabeth repeated, pleadingly.
"Liz, I'd be honored" Todd exclaimed. Elizabeth brightened, throwing her arms around him in a quick hug.
"Thank you so much, I really appreciate it" Elizabeth said, excitedly. She pressed a kiss on his cheek. "I'll see you later". She hurried off. Todd sat frozen in place, his left cheek still warm from the touch of her soft lips.
He read the description of the task more closely, trying to draw a plan in his mind. There was so much he could write about, Todd had no idea where to begin.

Things I know about Liz:

*When we were in the 2nd grade, she fell off the monkeybars and skinned both of her knees. I went to get the teacher and rescued her.

*I stuck up for her when the guys wouldn't let her play soccer with us in the 3rd grade.

*In the 6th grade, Elizabeth and I shared our first kiss and went to our first dance.

*In the sophomore year, I played center, she played right field in the class softball game. We flirted the entire time and told dirty jokes.

*Junior Year, we were in Mr Siegal's science class together, she always lent me her notes.

*She's sweet, caring, sensitive, always gives people the benefit of the doubt, she always puts others before herself, especially her twin sister. And when once you become her friend, you remain her friend for life for better or worse.
