| After a dinner at an italian restaurant, they capped off their evening with a walk along the beach. "This is what I miss most about Sweet Valley...the ocean" Todd said, mistily. "But soon I'll be back". "Yeah, you will" Elizabeth added, distantly. Todd noticed the silence and took her hand, looking at her tenderly. "Liz, what's wrong?" Todd asked, coaxingly. Elizabeth took off her sandals and sank down on the sand. "Oh, I was just thinking about how much I missed you" Elizabeth said, softly. "I missed you too" Todd replied, staring into her eyes. They stared into each other's eyes admirably. Todd put his arms around Elizabeth and drew her towards him. He pressed his lips against hers softly at first then more deeply when she snuggled closer, submitting to him. Her lips parted softly against his. Todd plunged his tongue into her mouth, re-exploring the familiar interior. Elizabeth tingled from head to toe, entangling her finger through his wavy brown hair, crushing her mouth more firmly against his. They parted a few minutes later, breathing heavily. Elizabeth rested her head on his shoulder and they stared out at the ocean in companionable silence. Elizabeth sighed, contently. Todd pressed a kiss on her forehead. After spending a couple of hours at the beach, Todd finally took Elizabeth home. Todd stood on the doorstep with her. Elizabeth looked up at him and their lips met in a brief, tantalising kiss before Todd left. Elizabeth hugged herself after she went inside. It was like a dream. The next day.....Elizabeth walked into his office to see a bunch of roses on her desk. Elizabeth smelt one and sighed. She saw the note. Liz, Roses are red, violets are blue, I had a great time last night, did you? Love Todd PS: See you at the meeting, I'll save you a seat which of course will be next to yours truly :) Elizabeth smiled at the message. She had a wonderful time last night. Elizabeth got her papers together and headed for the boardroom. She entered and saw Todd sitting there with a vacant seat beside him. He winked at her. "I saved it for you" he mouthed, grinning at her. Elizabeth smiled back and went to get a cup of coffee before sitting down next to him. "I guess you received my present?" Todd teased, lightly. "Yes I did" Elizabeth answered, sweetly. She leant across and brushed a tender kiss on his cheek. "Thank you, they were beautiful" "Are you going to answer my question?" Todd hinted. "Yes, I had a great time last night too" Elizabeth answered. Todd smiled knowingly. "I wanted to tell you I'm leaving tonight, along with the executives. I thought I should tell you when the transfer will be finalised" Todd told her. "I'll be back in three weeks". "Okay, great" Elizabeth answered, thrilled. The meeting went on and then adjourned. |
