| Chapter 3: Ladies Room Matt Wells raced over to Elizabeth and Will. "Liz, could you go into the ladies for me, I saw Maria go in there and it's been a while since she went in" Matt said, quickly. Elizabeth nodded, pulling away from Will, heading for the ladies room. "Maria, are you there?" Elizabeth called. Then she saw her. "Maria" she screamed, kneeling down to her. Matt and Will both heard her scream and flew into the toilets. Matt got his phone and called 911. Will went and examined Maria. "Liz, run and get my bag from the car" Will told her. Elizabeth sped out the door and to the car to get his doctors bag. Will removed his jacket abd put it under Maria's head. He grabbed a napkin, wet it and pressed it to Maria's forehead. Will started patting her cheeks after first making sure there was a pulse. Maria's eyelids fluttered, she came to, groggily. Will had a look at her, he saw that she was clutching her abdomen. "Tell me where it hurts" Will advised, touching places. Maria shrieked when he pressed on the side of her abdomen. Will saw the blood. The ambulance turned up just as Elizabeth came back with the bag. "Give her an anasthetic, take her straight to ER, I'll meet you there" Will ordered the attendants. "Of course Dr Simmons" One of the attendants answered formally. Will headed out of the toilets ahead of them. "Honey, let me go with you" Elizabeth exclaimed. "Quickly then, we have to get to the hospital before they do" Will said, hurriedly. Will and Elizabeth got into the silver BMW and roared out of the parking lot. Maria cried out in pain, she felt like a thousand needles were piercing through her abdomen. Matt held her hand as the stretcher was pushed towards the ambulance. "Matt" Maria cried. "I'm right here, darling. I'm not going anywhere" Matt promised. Matt saw Josh and Cherie standing at the door. He glimpsed Ken Matthews and Amy standing there with them. Ken's eyes were wide with fear. He saw Will go ahead of them and knew that he had everything under control. Tia Ramirez-McDermott stood with her husband, Connor, watching the scene. "C'mon, I need to go to the hospital, I want to make sure Maria's all right" Tia exclaimed, hoarsely. "Okay, C'mon, Let's go" Connor said, not arguing with her. They headed for his mustang and headed for the hospital. Ken Matthews gripped his wife's hand. "Ames, I want to go there too, I want to be there to make sure she's going to be okay" Ken told her. "Okay, let's go" Amy agreed, stepping towards the door. Ken stopped her. "There's no need for both of us to go, you stay here, I'm sure Lila or Jess can give you a ride home" Ken suggested. Ken left before Amy could stop him. "Honey, wait" Amy called after him. But Ken was already gone. |
