| Todd came back at Connor, throwing the first punch. Connor's nose started to bleed but he continued on. Connor defended himself, throwing a few punches of his own before they were pulled apart. Andy Marsden and Evan Plummer were holding him back. Ken and Aaron were blocking Todd. "Let me at him" Todd yelled, lunging at him. "I don't know why you two are getting so worked up, everyone knows that Elizabeth Wakefield is as much of a slut as her sister" Melissa exclaimed, snidely. "Why you little bitch!" Connor roared, he ran straight for her. Will ran to stop him. "Hey, hey, she didn't mean that" Will defended "Settle down". Connor looked back at Todd once more before storming off. He had to find Elizabeth and fast. Connor needed reassurance. Elizabeth decided to move outside to sit under a tree. She had trouble concentrating in study hall and thought that some californian sunshine could help. Her heart leapt as she saw her boyfriend coming towards her. Elizabeth dropped her book and flew into his arms. He held her to him, savouring her warmth and affection. He kissed her hungrily, memorising the feel of her lips as if it was his last. "Connor, whoa" Elizabeth gasped, pulling away. "What is going on?" "Liz, please tell me you're over Wilkins" Connor begged. He had never begged for anything before in his life. He didn't want to lose her. "Yes of course I am, I've been over him since the start of the year" Elizabeth told him, convincingly. "What brought this on?" "I saw your ex-boyfriend staring at a photo of you" Connor exclaimed, matter-of-factly. "It seems that he still holds a candle for you". "I don't care" Elizabeth insisted "Connor, I love you" Elizabeth took his hand and led him over to the seat. Elizabeth kissed him firmly on the lips. Connor drew her to him, kissing her deeply. "I love you too, Liz" Connor whispered, running his lips down her slender throat. Elizabeth giggled, moving slightly. Connor put his head up, hugging her tightly to him, stroking her hair. "Sorry, I just remembered I'm supposed to be studying" Elizabeth exclaimed, softly. She kissed his cheek lovingly and went back to her book. Todd bounced the basketball in front of the key and shot for a goal. He thought about his ex-girlfriend, Elizabeth Wakefield, how sexy she looked sitting in the stands with Maria Slater. He knew that Elizabeth was watching him, even though she was always shifting her gaze away from him every now and then. Todd tossed the ball back at A.J Morgan and went outside for some fresh air. That was when he spotted Elizabeth. Todd's heartbeat quickened at the sight of her. "Hi Liz" Todd called as she walked over. "Todd, could I talk to you for a second?" Elizabeth asked,quietly. "Sure" Todd answered, grinning. He followed her a few steps away from the gym door. "What's up?" "I was just wondering...um...Connor mentioned to me what happened in the library" Elizabeth admitted "I know this is personal question to ask, even a harder one to answer but...do you still love me?" "Well, my feelings for you haven't changed if that's what you mean" Todd told her, reddening a little. "Yes I still care for you, Liz. As a best friend". "Oh, Connor must have got the wrong idea about the picture then?" Elizabeth pressed. "Yes of course" Todd answered, quickly. Elizabeth nodded, slowly. They bidded each other goodbye and Elizabeth went off towards the Oracle office. |
