That night at Tia's....
Elizabeth sat on the sofa with the book open in her lap. Connor was next to her.
"Liz I was wondering...if you wanted to go see Casablanca at the movieplex with me tonight?" Connor asked, quickly. Elizabeth glanced up from her book.
"Sure, I'd love to" Elizabeth accepted, looking deep into his eyes. They stopped and stared into each other's eyes for a moment. Connor moved closer and just when his lips were about to touch hers.....
"Hey guys, here we are, the major cramming food" Tia exclaimed, cheerfully. Connor pulled back with a sigh and shot Tia a dirty look. Tia raised her eyebrows at him. Elizabeth smiled at her.
"That's great, Tia" Elizabeth answered, regaining composure. She was disappointed that Tia walked in when she did but Connor had asked her out and that she was thrilled about.

Elizabeth Wakefield

Connor and I went to the movies as planned. He kissed me in the dark theatre and put his arm around my shoulders. I felt as if we were a real couple. But that wasn't the best part. I am too excited to sleep. My hair is all rumpled. I just came upstairs now. We spent the last half hour making out in his car and I mean totally making out. He asked me out again for tonight. He'll pick me up form the HOJ about 9 and then we'll go for a walk along the beach. My wish is coming true!!!

Connor McDermott

It has finally happened. Liz and I hooked up. Every time I kiss her, I'm out of control. Oh my god, I'm in love with her. That's what it is. I have never felt this way about anyone before. Only one problem though, she lives under my roof, will it work? I'll be seeing her every day. Please don't let us smother each other. That's how Maria made me feel, smothered!. She was suffocating me. I vow not to let this happen between Liz and me. I'm not going to lose her. I won't lose her.

Connor crept into Elizabeth's room that night, seeing her light on. He tapped on the bathroom door lightly.
"Come in" Her sweet voice called. Connor entered slowly.
"Couldn't sleep either huh?" Connor asked, gruffly.
"Yeah, couldn't you?" Elizabeth asked, smiling at him.
"Nope, I wanted to see you" Connor added, looking deep into her aquamarine eyes. Elizabeth patted the bed next to her. Connor lowered himself on the spot, taking her in his arms. Connor kissed her until they were both breathless. He didn't release her, just held Elizabeth in his arms, in comfortable silence.
"I tried reading for Literature class but only finished a page" Elizabeth told him quietly.
"Are you understanding it?" Connor asked, making conversation.
"Oh, parts, But I'd swear it was written in a different language" Elizabeth teased. Connor laughed, softly.
"Yeah, old English is like that" Connor agreed. "How many times have you seen Casablanca?"
"About 10" Elizabeth answered, ruefully "It's my favourite movie"
"Mine too" Connor told her "I've seen it that many times myself. I especially like Humphrey Bogart, I mean he's the king of smooth". Elizabeth smiled.
"Yeah, he is" Elizabeth agreed. "I always cry when Ingrid Bergman leaves him to go back to her husband".
"Yes, that is sad" Connor added, lowering his voice. "Nothing can stand in the way of true love". They looked into each other's eyes and Connor met his lips with Elizabeth's in a lingering kiss. Elizabeth melted like butter in his arms. The love in his eyes was unmistakable. After a while, Connor crept back in his room. He laid in bed, dreaming about Elizabeth and their kisses.

Will Simmons

The coach has benched me. Me. Will Simmons, the quarterback and Captain of the team. He's going to put Ken Matthews in my place. I can't let this happen. I have to do something. But what?. No one benches me, they need me. We'll lose without me. I can't believe this.

Will sat on the sidelines, watching the practice, fuming. That was his team out there. One of his friends and Captain of the Basketball Team in the summer, Todd Wilkins was sitting next to him.
"So, have you found a date for the dance yet?" Todd asked him.
"Nope, But I'm sure I'll find some hot chick to ask" Will answered, grinning slyly. "What about you?"
"Normally, I would of been going with Liz, but we've broken up, so I have no idea" Todd replied, shaking his head in dismay.
"What about that Peggy Abbott girl, I heard she still has something for you?" Will suggested.
"I already dated her once, when Liz and I agreed to see other people, but now I'm not so sure" Todd explained. He ran a hand through his wavy, brown hair.
"I heard that Liz is going to the dance with Connor McDermott" Will told him.
"Connor McDermott, that jerk that dissed Elizabeth in front of the whole class?" Todd burst out.
"I guess so" Will answered "Anyway, they're friends now, since they live in the same house and all". Todd nodded, silently fuming.
"Did the coach say when you'll be off probation?" Todd asked, changing the subject. The subject of his ex-girlfriend was upsetting him too much to continue. Todd was definitely considering Will's suggestion though.
