| Chapter 19 - The Plan Continued |
| Severus, right on time! Mrs. Figg said cheerfully. Snape? Harry had to hear this. Hello, Arabella, Snape said quietly. He looked up at Sirius and grimaced. Black, he snarled. Snape Sirius growled back. All right, gentlemen, back to business, Mrs. Figg interjected. Have we decided on an approximate date for our entrapment? Well, I was thinking about the possibilities, and a day near the end of the school year seems best to me, Sirius said. Hagrid will be back, and hell provide more protection for us. Wouldnt a day during the summer holidays be best? Mrs. Figg asked. If you thought about that, you would know it wouldnt work. The boy has to be in school, Snape said in an annoyed tone. Oh thats right, Mrs. Figg realized. You-Know-Who knows that we would have to bring him during the school year. So, I hate to say it, but Black is right. Perhaps a day in early June would be best. Snape admitted. Weve all agreed to do it in the Dark Forest by the Blackwood Tree, correct? Mrs. Figg inquired. Yes well I should write the letter to Vol You-Know-Who now, Snape said. Good, Ill confirm this with the rest of the Naidraugs, Mrs. Figg said. What is a Naidraug, Harry wondered. Sirius, you keep watching out we cant allow anyone to find out about our plan. Of course, Sirius agreed. Well speak later this week. Goodbye Severus, Mrs. Figg said. The fire popped, and all that was left was a puff of green cloud. Well, Ill be patrolling the halls tonight, if anything happens Ill let you know, Sirius said, as he started to change back into a dog. Goodnight Sirius, Mrs. Figg said, as he walked out the door. Harry quickly followed behind him, before the door could shut. As soon as he was out of the room, he stood against the wall in the hallway. As a dog, Sirius would be able to easily smell or hear him, so Harry would have to wait until he left. Luckily, Sirius started off in the opposite direction of the Gryffindor commons. After a few minutes, Harry took off, running as fast as he could towards the portrait of the Fat Lady. Forgetting about being quiet, he just wanted to get back to the room as fast as possible. He reached the door, whispered the password, and jumped through the portrait hole. Ron and Hermione looked up at him as he threw the cloak off him, panting rapidly. What happened? Hermione asked, looking very concerned. I dont know exactly, panted Harry. He took several deep breaths to try to slow down his breathing rate. I went to her room and I saw a map of Hogwarts. So? Ron asked. Mrs. Figg and Sirius came in. They talked to Snape in the fireplace, Harry gasped, Something about Naidraugs. What are Naidraugs? Ron questioned. I dont know, Harry said, finally starting to relax. Ive never heard of a Naidraug Hermione started. Are you sure thats what you heard? Yes! They have some sort of plan going on, Harry said. I thought Sirius was on our side! exclaimed Ron. Maybe theyre tricking him? Hermione supposed. I just hope that he isnt on You-Know-Whos side, Ron said nervously. He cant be! Harry exclaimed. But Harry, why would he be in on Snape and Figgs plan? Ron asked. We cant rule out that possibility, Hermione said. A Naidraug could be a type of Death Eater, or something of the sort. Harry secretly agreed with her, but he couldnt bear to think that Sirius had been against them all along. Ill talk to him tomorrow, Harry said. Ill swear Ill find out whats going on. |
