| Chapter 18 Suspicions |
|
| Severus! Mrs. Figg called out. Hurry up! Were going to be late! Taking hurried steps, a disheveled-looking Snape caught up with Mrs. Figg. We still have ten minutes before the Dark Lord is to arrive in the forest, Snape said nervously. I want to have a good amount of time ahead of us You know what could happen if were late, Mrs. Figg gulped. Harrys eyes grew wide and his heart starting beating very quickly. A lump began to rise in his throat. What are you doing? Where are you taking me? Harry cried, struggling to break free from Mrs. Figgs grip. He reached for his wand, but Snape was much quicker. Conexio! Snape growled. A long, green cord shot from his wand, and suddenly Harrys arms were bound together. He tried to yell for help but he realized he was gagged with a powerful spell. Snape walked over and plucked the wand from Harrys robe. You should have done this in the first place, he might have escaped! Snape said angrily to Arabella. Mrs. Figg looked at the floor in embarrassment, as Snape turned to Harry. Come with us, now! he snarled, grabbing Harrys other arm. Snape tried to pull him, but Harry thrashed about violently. Alright, Harry, Mrs. Figg said angrily. I guess well have to do this the hard way! She pulled out her wand and pointed it at Harry. Involito! All of the sudden, Harry felt himself floating off the ground. He tried to move, but he felt paralyzed. Grinning, Mrs. Figg pointed her wand at him again. Adsector! she said, and Harry began floating towards her. Good idea, Snape muttered. They began to walk quickly down the hall, and Harry floated behind them. He tried to move, but his whole body felt numb and out of his control. After a few minutes, he realized his efforts were in vain. He stopped trying to escape and just waited, held prisoner by the traitorous teachers. He watched as he was forced to float through the doorway that led outside. Surprisingly, it was dark out as he was led towards the forest. Mrs. Figg and Snape crept quickly and silently through the Dark Forest, pulling Harry behind them. Suddenly, they came to a circular clearing, where a dozen hooded beings stood waiting. Harry could tell that they were death eaters by what they were wearing. His scar began to sting, and he knew that Voldemort was near. Harry was pushed into the center, as the beings circled around him. Deicio! Mrs. Figg cried out, and Harry suddenly felt himself break free of the Involito spell and fall hard onto the ground. Harry felt his elbow crack and pain shot through his arm. He tried to get up but Mrs. Figg stopped him. Conexio! she said, pointing her wand at Harrys ankles. Another cord shot out of her wand. Flopping around like a fish out of water, Harry tried to escape. The Death Eaters surrounding him started laughing. Harry became dizzy, as the pain in his arm grew worse. Suddenly, the laughter stopped and all of the death eaters got on one knee. Harrys scar felt like it was going to explode. He shut his eyes tightly and clenched his jaw, trying to block out the pain. He heard someone walk towards him, and a icy laughter began to surround him. He opened his eyes slightly and saw Voldemort standing above him, grinning evilly. So, Voldemort began, his cold voice piercing Harrys ears. Once again, the great Harry Potter is at my mercy. He bent down and touched the gag around Harrys mouth, making it vanish. Harry began coughing, and the Death Eaters began to laugh quietly. Let me go! Harry sputtered. The Death Eaters laughed loudly at this, and Voldemort pulled out his wand and pointed it at Harry. Wingardium Leviosa, he said quietly. Harry felt himself being lifted up, hanging by an invisible force. Voldemort smiled, keeping his wand pointed at Harry. Not this time, Potter. This time, Im going to finish you off. Knowing this was the end of his life, Harry shut his eyes tightly. Adava Kedavra! Voldemort roared, and everything went white. |
