Chapter Three: Reception

...Esse Mei."

As they clasped hands, their magic swirled around them, the veil lifted off of her face. Just as Moody said, "So received, so witnessed, so mote it be. I pronounce you husband and wife." Harry and Tonks kissed, filling it with all the passion contained within their two bodies. The amount of magical backlash from this one session was one that most of those in attendance stood in awe.

As he picked his bride up, the tradition of throwing rice to send them off down the isle picked up. Harry and his new bride kissed one last time before they passed the threshold. As they approached the reception area, a fact that Harry both anticipated and dreaded, the commotion picked up. As they finally entered, the ovation was one of those that rocked the roof. As the crowd dispersed, a spotlight lit up the center of the room. Harry grabbed the woman he loves by the hand, and led her into the center of that light.

As she lays her head on his chest, and he places a kiss atop her, the song they are too dance their first as man and wife softly begins. Holding his wife to him, Harry lets the words flow over him, smiling at the dexterity of the theme. "My love, this song reigns true every time I look at you."

She smiles. "And, it does my heart good to hear you say those things, Harry. I love you so much."

As a smooth tenor fills the air, the crowd gasps as with a flick of a wand, the two starts floating in the middle of the room, sharing their first dance as man and wife.

"I can show you the world. Shining, shimmering, splendid. Tell me princess, now when did you last let your heart decide.

Harry smiled at the woman, and with a flick of his hand, creates a setting, out of the movies, of them flying high above the ground. Almost close enough to reach out and touch as star. She looks into his emerald green eyes, finding both truth and complete and total honesty held therein.

I can open your eyes... Take you wonder by wonder, Over, sideways and under on a magic carpet ride.

In the corner, Hermione looks with total admiration, as the love of her life wraps his arms around her waist, softly rubbing her bulging stomach. He smiles at her, as they watch the show of affection between their best friends. "Hermione, do you think our love shows as easily as theirs do?"

"Of course, Ron. I don't know of anyone in this room can't see that, other than Professor Snape that is."

Said man smiles at the Gryffindor girl and said, "Well, Mrs. Granger-Weasley, considering my own wife is standing by my side this night, I can honestly say that I do understand. Especially when we have been gifted something so wonderful. Mr. Weasley, you too share in that look that only those of close souls can share."

A whole new world, a new, fantastic point of view. No one to tell us no, or where to go, or say were only dreaming.

She gasps, as from out of nowhere, a rose appears in his hand. It wasn't of any real significance, just the tiniest show of affection. As the tenor reached his crescendo, Harry drew her closer to him, her hot breath hitting his neck. Harry felt whole, complete and totally in love with the woman in his arms. He smiled, as a smooth, easily soprano voice hit her crescendo.

A whole new world, A dazzling place, I never knew, But now from way up here, It's crystal clear that now I'm in a whole new world with you.

He smiled, looking into her now matching emerald, shining green eyes. He could feel her heart pounding through her chest, as he drew her closer into himself. His thoughts were both astray and closer to home. He was scared, growing up with the abuse, with the neglect. He was afraid, knowing that Voldemort, and his henchmen had always hated him. He was scared, very scared that he was going to be like Voldemort, and Uncle Vernon, and abuse her. A soft clearing of the thought brought his attention back to her though, and he smiled.

Unbelievable sights, Indescribable feeling, Soaring, tumbling, freewheeling through an endless diamond sky.

Harry and Tonks, two people closer than anything, started a slow descent to the ground, and back up again, as the magic of the music made them move together, drawing them closer together. The ground, the love of his life noticed, was coming closer and she was both excited and afraid.

A Whole New World! (Don't you dare close your eyes) A hundred thousand things to see! (Hold your breath till it gets better) I'm like a shooting star, I've come so far, I can't go back to where I used to be

She shook her head and said, "No, you're staying with me, Harry James Potter. To have and to hold, to love and cherish, till death do us part." He smiled, capturing her lips in one final, soaring kiss as the song meet its end with a wonderful crescendo.

A Whole New World With new horizons to pursue I'll chase them anywhere, There's time to spare Let me share this whole new world with you.

He kissed her, wholly and fully. The love in the atmosphere from the deep connection seen from the depth that most have never seen before as Harry and his wife shared their first, intimate kiss, was disbelieving.

A Whole New World (a whole new world) A new, fantastic point of view No one to tell us no, or where to go, or say we're only dreaming.

The room was, in total aspiration with the two. In the corner, a sight that would surprise anyone that was to witness it. Standing there, with tears running down his face, the Headmaster of Hogwarts. Albus smiled, wishing with all of his heart, the love of his life. She had, sadly, been killed during the last war with Voldemort.

He, he had admitted to himself, wanted so much to move on to his next great adventure with his loving Amelia, but knew that she would be dishonored if he were to die before his time. He smiled again, remembering all of the good times that they had had before her death.

"Oh my love, how I miss thee."

Across the room, Remus Lupin stood with an assortment of aurors. He smiled as Harry took her hand once again, watching as the loving couple showed their affections in the smallest movements. He would rub his hand against her face, kiss where the thumb had touched, and other small habits that Remus was sure he would have picked up from James, and Lily, had he had the time.

Remus was even doubly surprised when they both had asked him to give her away. Though it was only a muggle tradition of "giving the bride away" Remus smiled, knowing what they had planned. As seen by his new contingency of aurors, Remus smiled, knowing that Harry had done it on purpose. "Of course he did, he's James' son after all."

Finally, the end of the song, where the term duet came most into play, was to meet his ears. Remus sighed. He dare not tell Harry and Tonks the reason he asked for this song... yet.

A Whole New World Every turn a surprise With new horizons to pursue (Every moment red-letter) I'll chase them anywhere, there's time to spare (anywhere, there's time to spare) Let me share, this whole new with you!

As the song reached the final stretch, the crowd got up as one and surrounded the couple. Moody walked over to their coupled hand and smiled, "matrimonium adstringo".

A Whole New World (a whole new world) that's where we'll be (where we will be) A thrilling change, a wondrous place for you and Me

As the song came to a close, Harry grabbed his his spouses hand and said, "I want to enter this world with you, my beautiful Nymphadora Tonks-Potter."

She smiled and said, "And I want to enter this world with you, my handsome Harry James Potter, please, let me be your light. I know that, with growing up as you did, sometimes you think that you are undeserving of what I, and others here freely offer. Harry, let me be your family, not just your wife. Let me give you children, and let those children flourish. You have many good things going now: Remus, Hermione, Ron, Severus, Minerva and Albus, well all be here for you, just... promise me that you won't allow the past to plague you. This is our chance, our one chance to enter that Whole New World, let's do it together and not let the past haunt us."

Harry looked out, across the crowd and smiled. Nodding his head in the affirmative, Harry smiled and kissed her fully. As they were about to leave, a squeal drew their, and everyone's attention. Turning to the source, Minerva McGonagall was blushing. "My water broke."

Looking to the other, Harry and Nymphadora were both thinking the same thing, "only when Harry's around."
