Estimating the number of guests is one of the most important tasks of event planning. A good  estimate for a seated event is 10 to 12 square feet per person. To seat one hundred guests comfortably, approximately 1,200 square feet of tent space are required.

The seating chart (right) is included to give you an idea of the size tent you will need for your event. Requirements for additional features such as dance floors, stages, bars and serving tables for your caterer all require additional square footage and must be included in your plan.

When planning the size of your tent, be sure to consider the impact of adverse weather on your event.
