This avenue of dedication to genealogy, has brought me the information concerning my Maternal Grandmother, Minnie Craig and starts me on the path of the Craig family genealogy. Minnie, daughter of William Craig the 1st, and (E)Lizzie Beth(Evans)Craig, in my research thus far, I found, had a brother whose name was William Craig the 2nd, and a sister Elizabeth Craig, her brother and sister were both born in Prince Edward county, Farmville, VA. Minnie was born November 1884; and was 26 years old in 1910, the year, when on 25 December, Minnie Craig, became Minnie Brown, the wife of my Grandfather Robert G. Brown. Her birthplace was Prince Edward county, Farmville,VA. I am using historical, numerological and spiritual research, in my attempt through the spirit of prophetic relationship; make connections to antiquity and trace my linage to my family roots.

My Great grandfather, whose name was William Craig, who was married to my great grandmother, ElizzieBeth (Elizabeth-Lizzie) Evans (believed to both be born in Farmville, VA.)

Updated information on the Craig family received from the 1900 Census records. William Craig (my great grandfather)(my grandmother's father) was born January 1850, and is listed in the 1900 census as being 50 years of age. He married (Elizabeth) Lizzie Evans, born January 1852, age 48 years old and they were in 1870, William was 20 years of age and Lizzie was 18 years of age. Their first child William Craig Jr., was born May 1876 and was listed in the 1900 census as being 24 years of age. However further information lists him as born in 1871 and being 29 years of age in 1900. The next child was Janie Craig born May 1882 and James born May 1882 (I believe they were twins because they are both listed being born on the same day and year). The next child was Minnie Craig (my grandmother) born October 1883 and according to the 1900 census, she was listed as 16 years of age. However further information lists her as born November 1884 but the age was right. Also listed are three grand children, namely: Joe Craig, grandson, born May 1893; Edna Craig, born April 1894, listed as being 6 years of age; and Harvey Craig born March 1896, listed as being 4 years of age, all born in Farmville, Virginia, Prince Edward county, Farmville District, ( The census Enumerator was William R. Moore).

Update information received from (Rosemary a possible relative--"[email protected]")(April 18,1999)Matilda Maddox was her mother and her father was Alex West. (August 12, 1999 )William Craig was born in 1871. William Craig married Elizabeth West of Prince Edward county ad they moved to Philadelphia,PA. (August 14, 1999)William Craig her grandfather, had a sister Minnie Craig, born 1884.

The more that I am exposed to information connecting me with my ancestors,it overshadows me with a very happy and peaceful condition of mind. It is an entrance of the level of cosmic consciousness, that lets me know that my ancestors speak out to me.(December 30,1999---new e-mail address for [email protected]).
